About Me, AJ Grogg

Hey! Welcome to my website.

Here’s what to know: My Name is AJ Grogg and I am from Wayzata, Minnesota, and for the last three and a half years, I have been living in Des Moines, Iowa. I am currently a junior studying public relations and marketing at Drake University. My time is mainly spent with friends and classmates and listening to music while around campus. One of the most time-consuming student organizations is my fraternity which is a part of the Drake Fraternity & Sorority Life community. In my time at my fraternity I have led as chaplain, our in house ethics chair which directs the members to following the creed of our fraternity and being the best young men we can be. As well as chaplain I held positions like recruitment chair, social chair, philanthropy and service chair, vice president, president, and most recently new member educator. The time I have spent at Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) has helped greatly direct my leadership experience towards professional opportunities. The interests I have learned are most important to the direction I want my future career to go.

As far as my future endeavors, I look forward to seeking out opportunities around sports. As I have begun to look towards opportunities related to sports media, management, and organization, I reflect on why I love sports, specifically baseball. Ever since I was young, I have had a passion for baseball and any team or individual sport. I started playing baseball on a plastic tee when I was just 1 year old and personally, I think I was pretty good. My passion for baseball has only grown from tee ball to varsity ball and now as a fan. HAving played baseball my whole life one of the best moments in my career was playing at Target Field and hearing the announcer read off my name “now batting….. AJ Grogg” This passion for the sport has driven me to search and work hard to find opportunities around the game all for the love of the game.

Now that I have explained a little bit about my passion for baseball, I think I’ll get to another one. Music. No, I cannot really play the guitar, can’t really sing, but I’m telling you, windows down or in the shower, I think I am long overdo for a Grammy. My music interest ranges from artists like Chris Cornell to Josiah Queen. I spend an amazing amount of time listening to music and my favorite platform for listening spotify let me know that in the last year I have listened to over 58,000 minutes of music. I spent maybe 15,000 listening to Zach Bryan. I also think I listened to the song Colors by the Black Pumas maybe 1,000 times.

Well, thats me. Cheers.
