Minnesota Twins’ Last 11 Games: A Hot Streak Worth Watching

Minnesota Twins celebrate win

The Minnesota Twins are on fire. After a rocky start to the 2025 MLB season, the team has found its rhythm and surged forward with an impressive 11-game winning streak. Their record now stands at 24-20, and they’re climbing the AL Central standings fast.

Momentum from the Mound to the Plate

This winning stretch began in early May and included standout performances against teams like the Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners, San Francisco Giants, and most recently, a thrilling doubleheader sweep of the Baltimore Orioles. Pitching has been the anchor of the team’s success, with consistent starts from Pablo López and strong bullpen efforts sealing several close games.

Perhaps the most exciting game of the stretch came on May 11, when the Twins defeated the Giants in extra innings, 7-6, thanks to a walk-off hit by DaShawn Keirsey Jr. Read more about that clutch moment here.

Doubleheader Dominance & a Scare in the Outfield

On May 14, the Twins hosted a doubleheader against the Orioles. Despite fatigue, the team managed to win both games, 6-3 and 8-6. These gritty victories showcased the Twins’ offensive depth, with big-time hits from Max Kepler and Jose Miranda.

Unfortunately, the good news came with a scare. In the May 15 matchup against the Orioles, stars Carlos Correa and Byron Buxton collided while chasing a shallow fly ball. Both players were placed in concussion protocol. While the extent of their injuries remains unknown, Twins fans are hoping for a quick recovery. More on the collision can be found here.

What’s Next for the Twins?

The Twins will look to keep their streak alive as they face the Milwaukee Brewers on May 16. With injuries piling up, this upcoming series will test their depth and resilience. Still, with momentum on their side and an energized fan base behind them, there’s no telling how high this team can climb.
